The height(in feet) of a softball is given by the formula h=72t-16t^. After how many seconds will the softball be 60 feet high for the second time?
Answer: h=72t-16t^. Looks like you are missing something…
h=72t-16t^2 I hope
60 = 72t-16t^2
16t^2 – 72t + 60 = 0
4t^2 – 18t + 15 = 0
Now solve this with the quadratic equation.
